Music and dance are an essential ingredient of Bollywood (a reference to
the Indian film industry) films. The dances combine Indian classical and
western styles expressing the inner emotions of the dancer. It has a universal
appeal due to its combination of styles making it fun and accessible for
all levels of ability.
Breakdance offers an all action session, experience the dance introduced by the
Black and Hispanic communities of New York in the ‘70’s.
Join in on the new Break revival; learn moves like the “baby”, “six step”,
“swipes and freeze”. Improvers class develops these into the ultimate body workout
and self expression.
Capoeira is a dynamic fusion of deadly fighting movement, brilliant acrobatic
dance and beautiful traditional music. Learn the traditional footwork,
evasive movements and acrobatics, undertaken in the traditional “Roda”
or circle.
Friendly anxiety free classes enabling children to revel in dance. Sessions nurture creativity,
confidence and interaction.
Offers a fluid “body friendly” method of movement, embracing
balance, alignment and the extensive use of the whole body across the
space. Harnessing music, rhythm and the dynamic use of sequences. Contemporary

Based on the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system, this form of Yoga
harnesses the breath and inner core strength to create a dynamic
flow of postures and movement patterns. Suitable for all levels of

Defence class suitable for all. Jitsu
is a defensive martial art that uses an aggressor’s force to their
own disadvantage, with a system of throws, joint locks and strikes. Jitsu
will help develop your self confidence and physical fitness it’s
also fun and a great way to meet people. Bring loose clothing, a friend

isolation, step combination and movements synonymous with Arabic rhythms.

Fusing traditional Afro-Latin American rhythms to make salsa. The class
introduces participants to Latin American rhythms (including meringue,
rumba, mambo etc) Salsa offers scope for individual dance improvisation,
partner dancing and freestyle. Experience the fun and style which have
instigated the salsa revolution.
To the music and rhythms of Jazz and Latin, learn "footing" style steps
building to simple but energetic routines that are street jazz.
Connect with Africa’s rich and ancient cultural heritage. Hear and
explore drum languages. Experience traditional dances from across Africa.
Learn the intricate, powerful and expressive dances – bring a friend
and lots of energy.
Aimed at 11 – 15 year olds with an interest in creating and performing new, original work.
Sessions include Contemporary technique and creative skills building towards performance.
